AP News

1. The Pentagon says the airstrikes launched by the US and Arab allies in Syria took out key training camps and facilities of the Islamic state militant group. But an official says it is too soon to tell if the strikes carried out by US on its own will be able to disrupt the terrorist attack being planned by  Al-Qaeda militants , known as the Khorasan group.

2. President Barack Obama says the climate is changing faster than efforts to address the global warning. Speaking at United Nation summit on climate change, he says US will do its part but says no nation will get a free pass.

3. Police say a UPS employee opened fire inside one of the company's warehouses in Alabama, killing 2 people before taking his own life.  The gunman was wearing  uniform when he started shooting, either in and near small offices inside the warehouse.

4. Have a spare 130 million dollars?  That's the combined price a pair of Andy Warhol paintings could fetch at auction in November. "Triple Elvis (Ferus Type)" and "Four Marlons" rate around Warhol's most famous portrait and have never been available at auction.
